Eens in de drie jaar organiseert de historische vereniging Aed Levwerd in samenwerking met het Historisch Centrum Leeuwarden een Liwwadderdag. Steeds staat een andere buurt of wijk centraal. De historie wordt steeds recenter: volgende week zaterdag is de wijk Westeinde aan de beurt, nog maar een halve eeuw oud.
