Eind jaren negentig al werd gesproken over een fusie van het Antonius Ziekenhuis in Sneek en de Tjongerschans in Heerenveen. Het kwam er niet van, net als het meest recente plan. Teleurstellend, vindt Erik Jan Mulder (64), die na dertig jaar stopt als chirurg in het Antonius.
