Ooit hoopt Thijs Wiersma als schaatser of wielrenner het hoogste na te streven, maar voorlopig combineert het toptalent uit Sint Nicolaasga beide sporten met elkaar. Dit weekend doet hij bij het NK wielrennen in Roden opnieuw een gooi naar eremetaal.
