Nu zegt de voormalig profvoetballer, die SC Heerenveen in 1990 voor het eerst in de historie naar de eredivisie schoot: ,,Ik libje in bytsje yn reservetiid, yn blessueretiid, mar ik mei bliid wêze dat ik der noch bin.’’
