In het onlangs verschenen document van Provinciale Staten, de Friese Energievisie, willen de beleidsmakers van provincie Fryslân in 2030 maar liefst 3 TWh aan duurzame elektriciteit opwekken. Dat is meer dan twee keer het gemiddelde, van 1,17 TWh, dat een Nederlandse regio zou moeten bijdragen. En dat terwijl we nu in Friesland al op 2,65 TWh zitten.
