Het was een wonderlijke bijeenkomst die vorige week plaatsvond op de legerbasis Quantico in de Amerikaanse staat Virginia. Daar waren zo’n achthonderd generaals en andere topmilitairen bijeengeroepen om te luisteren naar wat hun hoogste bazen, minister Pete Hegseth en president Donald Trump, te melden hadden.
