Maurits van Nijen (25) speelde als jongetje al op zijn plastic gitaar tijdens een concert van Early Bird, achter opa Hendrik Waringa (79). Tijdens straatfestival Peije Dei in Drachten brak een snaar van kleine Maurits. „Ik tocht dat ik it hiele konsert fergriemd hie.” Vanaf 4 april treedt hij samen met de hele band van Early Bird op; nu voor het echie.
