Wat begon als een initiatief van enkele leden van de Baptistengemeente in Amersfoort, is uitgegroeid tot een landelijk project waarbij Friesland nu ook aangesloten is. Met De Rustplek stellen Friezen ruimte in hun huis beschikbaar voor iemand die tijdelijk geen onderdak heeft, rust nodig heeft of uit een situatie vol spanningen moet.
