Steven Berghuis heeft rugnummer 7 gekregen bij het Nederlands Elftal. De aanvoerder van Feyenoord lijkt hiermee een vaste basisspeler te worden onder bondscoach Frank de Boer. Berghuis speelt bij Feyenoord met rugnummer 10.
Op 11 juni wordt het toernooi in Rome afgetrapt met een duel tussen Turkije en Italië. Nederland speelt op 13 juni in Amsterdam zijn eerste wedstrijd, tegen Oekraïne.
