Het Nederlands elftal voor spelers onder de zestien jaar heeft dinsdag de Verenigde Staten met 3-0 verslagen. Door de overwinning eindigde Oranje op het Nike International Friendlies 2009 in Phoenix als tweede. KNVB-coach Ruud Dokter startte tegen de Amerikanen met Terence Kongolo en Kyle Ebecilio in de basis en liet Vincent Janssen in de slotfase invallen.
