VI hoofdredacteur Johan Derksen liet in het programma Voetbal International weten dat Leo Beenhakker bij zijn formele aantreden als technisch directeur bij Feyenoord gecompenseerd zal worden voor zijn tijd dat hij als adviseur gratis bij de club werkte. Hij kon de afgelopen maanden geen functie bekleden bij Feyenoord vanwege zijn contract met de Poolse voetbalbond.
