Het ontslag van Leo Beenhakker komt Feyenoord niet slecht uit. Trainer Mario Been: “Ik betreur het ontslag van Beenhakker als bondscoach van Polen, maar ben ook blij dat hij nu full-time als technisch directeur (TD red.) aan de slag kan. Het is een goede zaak als hij meer tijd in Feyenoord kan steken. Op het gebied van de scouting en jeugdopleiding is er nog veel werk te doen.”
