De Poolse voetbalbond heeft het ontslag van bondscoach Leo Beenhakker donderdag teruggedraaid. Dat zegt Leo Beenhakker tegen de NOS. De Nederlander heeft echter geen trek om terug te keren.
,,Ik ben vanmorgen vroeg teruggevlogen naar Amsterdam. Toen ik was geland, hoorde ik dat er een officieel communiqué de deur was uitgegaan waarin stond dat het ontslag was ingetrokken. De lezing was dat bondsvoorzitter Grzegorz Lato iets te emotioneel gehandeld had. Ik denk dat de waarheid is, dat hij iets te vroeg met happy hour is begonnen. Ik ben er klaar mee.''
