Jon Dahl Tomasson is nog altijd niet hersteld van de hamstringblessure, die hem sinds vorige maand aan de kant houdt. De Deense aanvaller van Feyenoord moet ook de thuiswedstrijd tegen Heracles Almelo, komend weekend, laten schieten.Naast Tomasson zijn ook Karim El Ahmadi, Kevin Hofland, Jonathan de Guzman en Ron Vlaar wegens blessures niet van de partij. André Bahia is geschorst.
Tegen Heracles krijgt Feyenoord opnieuw de kans om de sprong naar het linkerrijtje te maken. Als de Rotterdammers winnen, en rivaal NEC de uitwedstrijd tegen De Graafschap verliest, klimt de ploeg naar de negende plaats in de Eredivisie.
