Aanstaand Feyenoord-trainer en huidig NEC-coach Mario Been zou wel wat zien in de komst van NEC-rechtsback Daní Fernandez naar De Kuip. De Spaanse verdediger weet echter van niks.
De oud-speler van FC Barcelona heeft een aflopend contract, maar wil zich voorlopig hoofdzakelijk op het voetballen concentreren. "Ik heb met NEC gesproken, maar concentreer me nu op voetbal. Ik weet niets van andere belangstelling", zegt hij tegen Omroep Gelderland.
