Feyenoorder Karim El Ahmadi maakte woensdagavond zijn debuut voor Marokko. De Marokkaanse ploeg won met 3-0 van Zambia door doelpunten van Kharja, Sektioui en Baha. El Ahmadi viel na 64 minuten in voor Club Brugge-speler Nabil Dirar.El Ahmadi, die ook een Nederlandse nationaliteit heeft, koos op zijn 21ste voor het shirt van de Atlas Leeuwen. Met Marokko -20 haalde hij de halve finale op het WK onder 20 jaar in Nederland in 2005.
