De Europese voetbalbond heeft Matteo Simone Trefoloni aangesteld als scheidsrechter voor het duel AS Nancy – Feyenoord. De Italiaan wordt geassisteerd door zijn landgenoten Alessandro Griselli, Fabrizio Lanciani en vierde official Andrea Gervasoni. Trefoloni floot afgelopen zaterdag nog de WK-kwalificatiewedstrijd tussen Nederland en IJsland in De Kuip. Nancy – Feyenoord is de eerste wedstrijd in de groepsfase van de UEFA Cup en wordt donderdag 23 oktober gespeeld.
