De UEFA is een onderzoek gestart naar een aantal gebeurtenissen rondom Feyenoord - Rangers FC van afgelopen donderdag. De Rotterdammers moeten vrezen voor sancties van de UEFA. Ook de bezoekers kunnen een straf verwachten voor het afsteken van vuurwerk in het uitvak.
De voetbalbond laat maandagmiddag weten via de officiële kanalen dat er een onderzoek gestart gaat worden voor het afsteken van vuurwerk en het blokkeren van trappen door supporters. De UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body gaat zich op 27 februari over de zaak buigen.
De UEFA meldt het volgende
Charges against Feyenoord:
- Setting off of fireworks - Art. 16 (2) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations (DR)
- Stairways blocked - Art. 38 of the UEFA Safety and Security Regulations
Against Rangers FC:
- Setting off of fireworks - Art. 16 (2) DR
