Robin van Persie speelt aanstaande zaterdag mee in de afscheidswedstrijd van voormalig ploeggenoot Tomas Rosicky. De Feyenoorder speelde in zijn Arsenal periode maar liefst zes seizoenen samen met Rosicky en is daarom uitgenodigd voor de 'Tomas Rosicky’s testimonial' in de Generali Arena in Praag.
Van Persie is ingedeeld in het 'Word Team' met oud-spelers van Borussia Dortmund en Arsenal. Het team speelt onder meer met Ewerthon, Cesc Fàbregas en Nuri Sahin. De tegenstander van Van Persie is 'Czech team'' met onder meer Jan Koller en Petr Čech.
