Net als dit jaar troffen Feyenoord en PSV elkaar in het seizoen 2012-2013 in het laatste weekend van februari in De Kuip. Na een 0-1 ruststand pakte de ijzersterk spelende ploeg van toenmalig trainer Ronald Koeman in de tweede helft alsnog de verdiende winst. Ruben Schaken en Graziano Pellè lieten met hun goals De Kuip trillen van vreugde.
