Feyenoord heeft woensdagavond kennisgemaakt met het Sükrü Saracoglustadion van Fenerbahçe. Enkele uren na aankomst op Turkse grond meldde de selectie van trainer Giovanni van Bronckhorst zich bij de imposante thuishaven van de topclub uit Istanbul, om de laatste training af te werken in de aanloop naar het Europese duel van donderdagavond. Alle twintig meegereisde spelers stonden iets na 19:00 uur lokale tijd op het trainingsveld, waar de media het eerste kwartier aanwezig mochten zijn voor opnames en foto’s.
