Oranje O/17 heeft zich gekwalificeerd voor de halve finales van het Europees Kampioenschap. Een doelpunt van Tahith Chong was voldoende in het duel met Zweden: 1-0. In de halve finale wacht Portugal. De andere halve finale wordt gespeeld tussen Duitsland en Spanje.
Feyenoord-spelers Wehrmann, Malacia en Vente startten net als Chong in de basis. Vente mag in de halve finale overigens niet in actie komen vanwege een schorsing. De spits kreeg in de blessuretijd een gele kaart.
