De A1 van Feyenoord neemt net als vorig jaar deel aan het FIFA Blue Stars-toernooi. Gisteren zijn de eerste twee wedstrijden afgewerkt in Bazel. De Rotterdamse talenten zitten in poule A met Benfica, FC Sankt Pauli, Grasshopper en Blue Stars.
Voor Koning wordt het zijn laatste toernooi als trainer van het team. Hij stapt deze zomer over naar het Haagse HBS. Damien Hertog, die nu nog hoofd jeugdopleiding is van Feyenoord, neemt het stokje van Koning over op Varkenoord.
