De penalty die Feyenoord kreeg in het duel met Vitesse was terecht. Terence Kongolo stond niet buitenspel toen hij de bal ontving van spits Michiel Kramer. Dat bevestigt KNVB-persvoorlichter Hans van Kastel. De Vitesse-speler buiten de lijnen telt ook mee en aangezien doelman Room de doelpaal met zijn hand vasthield stond Kongolo, met zijn lichaam binnen de lijnen, nét niet buitenspel.
