Voormalig Feyenoord-aanvaller Leonardo vervolgt zijn loopbaan in zijn thuisland. De Braziliaan heeft een contract getekend bij Red Bull Brasil. Voor de inmiddels 31-jarige Leonardo is het de eerste keer dat hij in Brazilië aan de slag gaat. Op vroege leeftijd verkaste hij al naar Rotterdam.
Leonardo zat al enige tijd zonder club na zijn vertrek bij het Duitse 1860 Munchen. De aanvaller speelde naast Feyenoord in het verleden onder andere ook bij Ajax, NAC Breda en het Oostenrijkse Red Bull Salzburg.
