Middenvelder Jordy Clasie ontbrak, evenals Bruno Martins Indi, vandaag op de training van het Nederlands Elftal in Rio de Janeiro. De Haarlemmer moest de training laten schieten omdat hij last heeft van een licht griepje. Dit meldt de NOS.
Wanneer Jordy Clasie niet tijdig fit is voor het laatste duel uit de groepsfase, tegen Chili, zal bondscoach Louis van Gaal minimaal drie spelers uit de selectie missen. Door een hersenschudding zal Bruno Martins Indi het duel niet halen en Robin van Persie is geschort omdat hij in de wedstrijd tegen Australie zijn tweede gele kaart van het toernooi ontving.
