Feyenoord heeft in 2013 het grootste sponsorcontract in de categorie sport afgesloten. Het automotivebedrijf Opel staat minstens tot en met het seizoen 2016/2017 als hoofdsponsor op het shirt van de Rotterdamse voetbalclub. Dat levert Feyenoord een geschatte twintig miljoen euro op in totaal, meldt SportNext.
Voetbal is, net als vorig jaar, het meest populair met in totaal 55 van de 184 sponsordeals in het vorige kalenderjaar. Feyenoord is ook lijstaanvoerder in de top tien meest succesvolle rechtenhouders. Vijf in 2013 afgesloten contracten brengen het totale bedrag op van 33,7 miljoen.
