Voor Feyenoord is het bekertoernooi van dit seizoen geëindigd in de kwartfinale. De ploeg ging daarin woensdagavond met 3-1 onderuit op bezoek bij Ajax. Feyenoord kwam in Amsterdam nog wel vroeg in de wedstrijd op voorsprong door een doelpunt van Jean-Paul Boëtius, maar Ajax kwam door goals van Viktor Fischer, Bojan Krkic en Thulani Serero langszij.
