Het Europese avontuur van Feyenoord is na vrijdagochtend definitief voorbij. De club verloor in de playoff-ronde van de Europa League over twee duels van Kuban Krasnodar, maar mocht nog hopen op de groepsfase door het zogenaamde ‘lucky loser’- ticket. Doordat Fenerbahce uitgesloten is van Europees voetbal werd vandaag één club van alle verliezers in de playoff-ronde geloot om hun plekje in te nemen. Het lot werd echter toegekend aan Apoel Nicosia.
