De wereld verhardt , politieke tegenstellingen staan op scherp. Tarieven worden verhoogd. Tegenzetten gedaan en grootmachten rollen de spierballen. Maar echt leiderschap is van een andere orde, vindt gastschrijver Jacqueline Renders uit Eindhoven. Ze houdt een pleidooi voor verzachten.
