Willem II heeft zondag aan een thuiszege op Telstar genoeg om degradatie uit de eredivisie te voorkomen. De heenwedstrijd in de finale van de play-offs eindigde namelijk in een benauwd 2-2 gelijkspel, invaller Emilio Kehrer voorkwam in de slotfase een pijnlijke nederlaag.
