Het Boekenbal is voor veel schrijvers een jaarlijks hoogtepunt. Zo niet voor Sarah Neutkens. Sterker nog: de in Vessem opgegroeide schrijfster gaat dit jaar wéér niet. Ze beschreef voor het ED waarom ze het deze vrijdagavond opnieuw links laat liggen. ‘Het is een verstikkend klimaat dat me niets dan nachtmerries heeft opgeleverd.’
