Hij werd eind januari (in principe) voor anderhalf jaar verhuurd aan VVV-Venlo. Maar linksback Niels van Berkel keert nu alweer terug naar Willem II, dat een terugroepclausule heeft geactiveerd. En dus sluit de 23-jarige Goirlenaar deze voorbereiding aan bij de Tricolores.
