Al maandenlang roept hij vanuit een dicht douglasbos. Het begon al ruim voor de kerst. Ik ben er regelmatig heen gelopen, vooral om te luisteren of de oehoe nog reactie kreeg van een tweede uil. Maar het is altijd bij een enkel individu gebleven, voor zover ik weet.
