Topwielrenner Coen Vermeltfoort houdt wel van een potje voetbal. De 37-jarige Vlijmenaar weet sinds zaterdagmiddag in ‘t Loo wat het is om op de koersfiets kampioen te worden op doelsaldo, iets wat zijn favoriete club de laatste decennia niet lukte (Ajax). Vermeltfoort en zijn concurrent Jasper de Laat eindigden na negen koersen in Zuidoost-Brabant exact gelijk in het Kempenklassement. Tóch mocht Vermeltfoort na een succesvol potje pokeren op de fiets met de zege strijken. Hoe kon dat gebeuren?
