Afscheid liep zondag als een rode draad door de MX seizoensfinale in Valkenswaard. Jeffrey Herlings wilde zijn laatste cross voor KTM opluisteren met dagwinst, maar moest zich in een adembenemend duel met Kay de Wolf uiteindelijk gewonnen geven. Een mooi voorproefje voor volgend jaar, als ook De Wolf zijn entree maakt in de MXGP.
