Eindhoven Airport lag dit jaar meerdere malen stil door zieke luchtverkeersleiders of dichte mist. Volgens Ryanair is dat echter kinderspel vergeleken met de chaos elders in Europa. Nederland geldt zelfs als voorbeeld van hoe het wél kan, terwijl Frankrijk, Spanje en Duitsland kampen met structurele problemen.
