Bondscoach Dick Advocaat van Curaçao is erin geslaagd om Armando Obispo te strikken voor het nationale team van Curaçao. De PSV-verdediger kiest op 26-jarige leeftijd alsnog voor deze route, nadat hij lang alle opties open heeft gehouden. Obispo kan door deze keuze niet meer voor het Nederlands elftal in aanmerking komen, maar was daarvoor ook niet in beeld.
