De Colombiaanse Laura Méndez kwam in augustus 2021 naar Nederland. Eenmaal aangekomen ging ze door met haar coronahobby borduren, om de tijd door te komen. Nu gebruikt ze crochet als rode draad om Tilburgers met elkaar te verbinden tijdens vier craftavonden op vier verschillende plekken: Spoken Portraits.
