Na zes grands prix is Kay de Wolf keurig op weg om zijn wereldtitel in de MX2 te verdedigen. Ondanks pechmomenten staat de motorcrosser uit Eersel net als een jaar geleden bovenaan in het wereldkampioenschap. Een overstap naar de MXGP lijkt een kwestie van tijd. Zeker nu zijn oude concurrent zijn eerste GP-zege in de koningsklasse op zak heeft.
