De tweede profploeg van PSV is vrijdagavond in Leeuwarden in een spectaculaire wedstrijd tegen een nederlaag aangelopen. De formatie van Stijn Schaars kwam voor rust al achter en maakte nog de gelijkmaker, maar twee goals kort daarna braken het beloftenteam aan de eindstreep op. Jong PSV kwam na rust nog wel twee keer sterk terug.
