Tarik Essakkati heeft zich bewezen als hét lichtpuntje van Helmond Sport dit seizoen. Normaal speelt de 19-jarige aanvaller op de flanken, maar vrijdagavond tegen FC Den Bosch, en eerder in de oefenwedstrijd tegen Lommel SK, speelde hij in de spits. Op die positie moest hij grote schoenen vullen en dat ging hem goed af.
