Niet PSV Vrouwen, maar FC Twente is landskampioen. Op een zinderende laatste speeldag van de Vrouwen Eredivisie maakte de ploeg van coach Joran Pot een 0-2 achterstand goed tegen AZ (3-2). Lang leek de titel naar PSV te gaan, maar de 3-2 zege op Feyenoord was niet voldoende voor de Eindhovenaren.
