Met een feestelijk jubileum in aantocht, komt het Sint-Catharinagilde in Tongelre met slecht nieuws. In 2028 bestaat het gilde 550 jaar maar dat zal zonder feestvertoon gevierd worden. Het aantal gildeleden is inmiddels zo klein dat de vereniging voortaan een slapend bestaan zal leiden.
