In Bakoe, de hoofdstad van Azerbeidzjan, speelde het Nederlandse amputatieteam de eindronde van de Nations League. Ze eindigden weliswaar op een teleurstellende vierde plek, maar het ontbreekt niet aan ambitie: „Het WK is nog wel iets wat we mee willen maken”, aldus keeper Eddy Neggers.
