In het thuisduel met Excelsior liet FC Eindhoven opnieuw zien dat het voetballend echt wel mee kan met de promotiekandidaten van de Keuken Kampioen Divisie. Tóch ging het weer mis door een totaal gebrek aan focus (1-2). Details braken de blauw-witten op en dat was niet voor het eerst.
