Het verschil was zeldzaam klein, maar voor televisie-bakker Rudolph van Veen zit het avontuur in De slimste mens er al na één aflevering op. Waar de Tilburger normaal vooral met zoetigheden op de buis te zien is, verliep de aflevering voor hem ditmaal echter wel héél erg zuur. Hij verloor met een minimaal verschil: één tel.
