Een kleine groep van protestantse families stichtten honderd jaar geleden Baptistengemeente De Schuilplaats in Eindhoven. Ze waren voornamelijk vanuit Drenthe naar het katholieke zuiden gekomen om bij Philips te werken. In het markante kerkgebouw aan de Marconilaan wordt zondag 19 oktober met een feestelijke dienst in de kerk het jubileum gevierd.
